Freedom is on the march!

Well, everywhere but here that is. Our good ol' president, mr g.w.bush, is dead set on spreading freedom throughout the world. He must be so preoccupied with this spread of freedom that he forgot about his own country. He wants everyone to see how he can make the Iraqis free, and how he's going to squash tyranny, but every day our freedoms here at home are being taken away. Right now if he had it his way, a woman wouldn't even be able to choose what to do to her own body, yet the Iraqis must get a taste of this oh so good freedom. A man can't marry his boyfriend, so I guess the rest of the world is ready for this freedom too. A person who chooses to hold a sign saying that they don't agree with his war gets arrested and put on probation and is guilty until proven innocent. Just like it's supposed to work right? Freedom must be the ability to get caught placing inside stock trades four times in the 80s and getting away with it each time, yet throwing Martha Stewart in jail for the same thing. Freedom must be saving a 3 week old fetus but killing 100,000 innocent civilians. Wait a minute, this doesn't sound like freedom, it sounds like HYPOCRACY!

The elections are right around the corner! Yes they are. And we're such a good country to model them after. Maybe Diebold can get in there and make a few machines for them.

I can't even continue. I'm getting so irritated just thinking about this dooshbag man/child that somehow we have voted to run our country, and apparently now it's his job to fix the world, since he's doing oh such a good job at home. Oh how I hate this f***ing sh**head guy who somehow gets a mandate.

What freedoms did you have four years ago that you don't have now??

When in 5,000 years of human history has a brutal dictator changed his ways through sweet talking and diplomacy? True world peace will never take place until the peacenicks realize that the only way to deal with evil is to destroy it. I'm always amazed at how some people can go through their daily routines with absolutely no concern about how other people in the world are being tortured, slaughterd, enslaved, raped, imprisoned. If a single brutal dictatorship survives this century, the entire human race should be ashamed. I'm proud that we finally have a President with the courage to not only see the values of freedom but who wants to spread it. Lead, follow or get out of the way.

See my post. I made direct reference to abortion. Whether or not I agree with it, I think a woman should have the freedom to do what she likes with her body. Gay people. Regardless of how I feel about them, I don't believe they should be discriminated against. Also, apparently now that democrats are speaking out in Congress, recently against Condoleeza Rice and Gonzales, conservatives are getting their panties in a bunch. Isn't disent and discussion one of the cornerstones of democracy? And the old argument that we're taking out a brutal dictator doesn't work on me. The administration went straight for Iraq when they saw the chance. There are other places in the world that are much more volatile and dangerous. And the fight against evil comment is garbage too. Look at the evil right here in our country. Look at big corporations. Look at poverty. Look at people dying and murdering and raping within our own borders. Seems strange to me that we as a country are so concerned about the Iraqi people, who by the way we've killed thousands of, yet the destitute people walking our streets and being born with no hope are ignored. If you're so "amazed how people can go through their daily routines with absolutely no concern about how other people in the world are being tortured, slaughterd, enslaved, raped, imprisoned," look at yourself. Look around you. Look at the guy we just released from Guantanamo Bay after THREE years without even charging him! We allegedly tortured him, and now he's free to go on his merry way home to Australia, after WE, OUR COUNTRY, took three years of his life because we thought he knew something. WHAT IS THAT??? Who is ashamed now!? I agree that evil in the world is bad, but it's everywhere, and we're only fueling it in Iraq. Where's the justice in that? You can be proud of george bush. But I think he's just a big asshole. Follow him if you like. But think of all the INNOCENT civilians dying. Think of the soldiers losing their lives. Think of our own country being divided. And look at Iraq and tell me when you think it will be a democracy. It sure as hell isn't now. And why is it our problem anyway? We got attacked by Al Qaeda on September 11. We have done nothing since then but give these evil people more reasons to hate us. Going after Al Qaeda is one thing. Helping a country overthrow a dictator if they were in a civil war is one thing, but going into a country and running the show does not do anything except send the message that we are the big boy on the block, which if you remember elementary school, fuels hatred. Tell me if following this man is worth it.

By the way, you say there's a 5000 year human history of brutal dictators, what makes you think that we'll change that in our lifetimes? So the only way to deal with evil is to destoy it, by being equally evil. Killing by them, bad. Kill by us... good? Oh, and by the way, I'm guessing 5000 years isn't some random number you pulled out, but rather that you believe in Creationism, or some such thing. So maybe you are a crusader and think that we are doing God's work by killing all these people in the name of goodness. Sounds a bit hipocritical to me. But who am I to question your beliefs? Everyone's entitled...
