What's going on with Starbucks?
Has starbucks been bought by the religious right? I usually never go to starbucks, since I am an advocate of fair trade coffee, however I ventured there with a coworker today, and just go myself a green tea.
When I got back up to the office, I was looking at the coffee cup (which they double stacked by the way, why do I need two cups?) and noticed that they have little quotes on the side of the cups. On one cup was "The Way I See It #92".
I say, what's that shit about? Why the holy roller shit on the side of a coffee cup? I think that's crap. The only good thing about it is that my second cup they stacked inside it was a quote from the author of a jimi hendrix biography.

You are not an accident. Your parents may not have planned you, but God did. He wanted you alive and created you for a purpose. Focusing on yourself will never reveal your purpose. You were made by God and for God, and until you understand that, life will never make sense. Only in God do we discover our origin, our purpose, our significance, and our destiny.

The quotes actually ran the gamut. In fact, here's a quote fromj the FAQ for the Starbucks Challenge:
"Most recent scuffle with the right: An out-and-proud quote by Armistead Maupin, printed on some of Starbucks’ coffee cups, angered the Concerned Women for America, for allegedly promoting a homosexual agenda. Baylor, a Baptist university, got Starbucks to pull the offending cups from their dining services."
