I'm in a bad mood today

I went out to get on my bike to head of to work this morning, and it was not there. Someone apparently stole it, right from next to my back door. The unnerving part is it is out of sight from the street, and out of view to someone walking past, even from the courtyard which is not even close to the street. Which means someone went into my complex, and was looking around enough to look into the alcove behind my back door to find my bike. The other unnerving part is that it is about 5 feet from my bedroom window, which means the person not only walked directly past my window, but also likely took my bike out past it again.

Motherfuckers.

Oh yea, 4 days ago my fiance's car was broken into.

I'm hating San Diego something serious right now.

Ok -- That like really, really sucks. The place you kept your bike sounds a lot like the spot where I keep mine. Wondering -- Is yr apartment complex gated? Or can anyone walk in?

And how'd you end up getting to work?

It's not gated. On the alley side it's gated and locked, but from the front there is a sidewalk you can walk in. (Don't quite understand locking one side and not the other.) I ended up taking the bus. Damn vandals.

Mine's gated on both sides, but considering how trusting how I and my neighbors are, it wouldn't be too hard for people to get in... I hate that I'm in a gated complex, but I'm also glad that my bike isn't stolen -- at least not yet --
