Our Festivus
We decided this year that since we just got married in September, and have never spent a Christmas together, that we would opt out of going anywhere on Christmas Day. So last night we went to my mother-in-law's house for the afternoon and for dinner, and so this morning we woke up at home. We got up around 8, opened our stocking presents, I made cappuchino, then I made fresh squeezed orange juice, and then we opened presents. It has been a nice relaxing morning. We followed that up with a great breakfast and some champagne. At this very moment my wife is sleeping since the breakfast and champagne knocked her out. It is 1:22 PM, I am going thru the gifts and playing on the internet, and it is 74 degrees out. San Diego is surely a strange place to spend Christmas Day after growing up in the Northeast.
When she wakes up I will shower and we will go the beach to spend the afternoon in the sun drinking beer. Then we will go to our friend's parent's house and have dinner and drinks.
It's been a wonderful Festivus day, and I wouldn't want to spend it any other way.
Happy Festivus.
