I am stuck in a (new) office, recently married separated divorced, laid back, seeking adventure, and dreaming about living life one day instead of working
I am 28 years old and grew up in New England, a place called Tolland to be exact, which is a small town in northeastern Connecticut. I always wanted to go places and see things, but ended up staying in Connecticut through college (or university depending on where you live). I got to do a little bit of traveling during that time, and afterwards, I moved to San Diego, California, where I currently reside.

Outwardly, I am a pretty simple person, which really means that it doesn't take much to satisfy or amuse me. I really enjoy reading, and lately it has become a quest of mine to become more knowledgeable and more aware about diverse topics. Although you would not really guess it if you know me, I am rather idealistic and want to be part of saving the world, although not necessarily in a treehugger sort of way. I think the world's problems are deeper than that (although caring about the environment is a good place to start), and that any sort of solution would require a generational change of attitudes. I like to think that the decision I make, both personal and economic, can help to change the world, even just a little.

Interestingly enough, after that description of me, it might be hard to believe that I make my living in the tech field. So I guess you could say I am a computer geek as well.

I am fascinated by new places, cultures, and learning about life in other parts of the world. This fascination has revived my passion for travel, although since I am working full time I don't get to do enough of it. But in the coming years I hope to travel to many places, outside of the United States to see what the world has to offer, both good and bad. Until then, I've started a travel website, Worlds Revealed, to keep my travel dreams at bay. And although I'm not very political, lately with my evolving beliefs and ideals, I've become more interested in both politics (not interested in politics so much, but rather the role they place in changing things) and current events. I guess it's fair to say I'm pretty liberal when it comes to social issues.

Oh and by the way, if anyone visiting this site has any connections for a new job opportunity, feel free to email me. I like what I do, but I'd like to be able to find a better match for my computer skills, something combined with something I'm passionate about, and maybe some flex hours, and more vacation time... Maybe working for a "make a difference in the world" company, or a politcal or travel or knowledge based website, basically something more dynamic than cubeville... Ah, well, I digress. (UPDATE: 1/29/06, I have a new job, much better than the last, but still interested in opportunities)
